So I know I should have posted this a couple of weeks ago, after I got back from DC, But I won the Congressional Art Award! One high school student from every congressional district wins the honor of having a piece of their artwork hang in the Cannon Tunnel for a year, and I won in my district, so I got to go to DC and go to a reception to see my art hanging in the Capitol, and get tours of the Capitol and the White House and have a lot of people inflate my ego to a disastrous size. But here are pictures from it: My piece, me and my mom, me and Congressman Heinrich, and the mass assembly of all 300 and some odd winners who came.
